Urban Endurance Post Event Catch Up.

The team's target was to power their way from 'England to France' on the rower, static bike and running machine within nine hours. "The last half an hour was tough - most of us were feeling the burn and running on empty. But everyone dug deep and we made it to our imaginary finish line, the Eiffel Tower, in just under 8 hours and 53 minutes!"

This year's fundraising event from Bath based personal trainers and award winning triathletes - Paul Ransome, Simon Ridley and Joey Rossi - raised £1067 for local charity the National Osteoporosis Society. "We feel privileged to be fit and healthy, so we wanted to do our annual bit for this fantastic charity and promote healthy living," added Paul who was joined by his colleagues and a dozen or so UTS clients for the challenge. "Plus it was the perfect way to launch our new Urban Endurance club for the 2016 triathlon season."

As well as collection buckets for sponsorship money, passers by were also encouraged to swap their laces for special orange ones to highlight the link between exercise and healthy bones. These are part of the National Osteoporosis Society's Lace up for Bones (www.laceupforbones.co.uk) campaign. "We want to say a big thank you to the people of Bath for all their support," Paul continued. "And especially to Olympic gold medalist, Amy Williams, who popped by to say hello, tweeted her support and promised to wear her laces!"

Sarah Wolf, Head of Communications at the National Osteoporosis Society, said the charity were blown away by the team's effort, which was scheduled to coincide with World Osteoporosis Day on 20th October. "What a phenomenal group of super fit people! Osteoporosis is often thought of as an old people's condition - but weight bearing exercise when you're young helps keep your bones strong and healthy. We can't thank Vibe Fitness and the UTS Crew enough for all their support and dedication."
